Our Mission

The mission of the National Trail School Foundation is to cultivate and accept donations to endow the National Trail Local School District and provide funds for the creation of, or participation in, enrichment programs through grants and scholarships. The primary strategy of the Foundation is to build an unrestricted endowment, supplemented by donor advised and other special purpose funds.

Our Purpose

The purpose of the Foundation is to cultivate and accept donations from friends of the National Trail Local School District to allow for the creation of, or participation in enrichment programs within the schools through grants, scholarships or program supplementation. It will have the ability to generate financial support on an on-going and as-needed basis for those programs, equipment and projects that promote and enhance excellence in the school curriculum. We promote community involvement, enthusiasm and support for the school, through parental, faculty and alumni support in the preservation and enhancement of quality education in the school district. In February 2010 we provided an organizational base for the formation of the NT Alumni Association and have provided financial support for the NT Athletic Hall of Fame.

Make a donation today, a direct gift in any amount. Remember special persons and events by making a gift through wills and bequests. Promote the Foundation among your friends, relatives and coworkers. Invite your friends and associates to hear an informal presentation by a representative of the Foundation.

About Our Organization

The National Trail School Foundation was formed on February 8, 2005 as a non-profit educational foundation within the National Trail Local School District with its funds managed by the Dayton Foundation. We meet at 6:30 pm the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the District Office. The Dayton Foundation has a long history dating back to 1921 of helping local not-for-profit organizations succeed in various communities. By working with The Dayton Foundation, the National Trail School Foundation is able to operate as a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization.
