Eligibility
  1. Any employee, current student, or volunteers of the National Trail School District may apply for a grant.

  2. Applications may be submitted by individuals, grade level teams, committees, buildings or departments.

  3. Awards may be made up to $1,000 for each project approved. Projects must be completed and funds utilized by the end of school year in which the grant is awarded.

  4. Projects should enhance the District’s Strategic Plan, building site plans, State standards, and District courses of study.

  5. The completed written proposal must be signed by the building principal and sent to a designated NT Foundation trustee. A committee of NTSF will conduct a review of the grant proposals. The number of grants to be approved each year is dependent upon the funds available and the quality of proposals.

  6. Evaluation criteria include the number of students and staff impacted by the project, the opportunities for learning provided beyond the regular curriculum, the applicability of the project to other teachers in the district, and the cost effectiveness of the project. The committee may also try to select a cross-section of projects across schools, grade levels and subject areas.

  7. One team grant and/or one individual grant may be submitted by staff members/student/resident per school year.

  8. Grant recipients will be required to submit a project evaluation, as well as receipts for expenditures at the conclusion of the academic year in which the grant funds were spent. Further documentation such as photos of student participation, videos, DVDs, websites, etc. is encouraged for further documentation for the Foundation.

  9. Any funds not spent or properly accounted for are to be returned. A check for the difference is to be made payable to the National Trail School Foundation.
